2023 Scholarship Recipients
About the Hankinson Education Foundation
Founded in 2016, the Hankinson Education Foundation was formed to administer the Kenneth Hoefs Endowment Fund. The initial funds for the endowment were provided through a testamentary gift from the Estate of Kenneth W. Hoefs.

Kenneth Hoefs attended Hankinson Public School where he participated in baseball, basketball, and football as a Hankinson Pirate. He was the Valedictorian of the Hankinson High School Class of 1953. Hoefs attended NDSU and graduated with honors. He worked for Boeing from 1959 to 1995. He had numerous accomplishments but the highlight of his career was being Head of Aerodynamics for the 767 program.

It was Mr. Hoefs hope that the endowment fund will help foster some of the following student traits: "academic excellence, self-confidence, integrity, and good value system, passion for learning, personality development, teamwork, school enthusiasm, unity, and well-rounded responsible adults".

Kenneth W. Hoefs Renewable Scholarships
Four $2000 renewable scholarships will be awarded each year to Hankinson High School graduating seniors who attend a North Dakota college or university and have a cumulative GPA or 3.0 or higher. More information is available by clicking below.
Hankinson Education Foundation Scholarships
Additional Hankinson Education Foundation Scholarships may be available. These scholarships do not have GPA or in-state college requirements.

Dual Credit Class Tuition Assistance
Tuition assistance is available to Hankinson students enrolled in Dual-Credit classes. Contact us below for more information or contact the Hankinson guidance counselor.
